I take great pride in writing this particular post.

It’s too easy for football teams to neglect design or shall I say accept poor design. It can happen in numerous forms whether it’s just the classic ‘oh I know someone who can do that’ or the we need this quick let’s get whatever we can done.

It’s fantastic to see clubs taking great effort to get design right. It doesn’t have to break the bank and I think people don’t realise how big an asset it is until they have someone working on it regularly. Id argue it is one of the most important things to consider for any company. It is your perception you are playing with.

Ed Furniss, Bristol City’s Design Manager has done a great job in reshaping the image of Bristol City. Below are some examples of emails that go out from the club, this concept is carried across all branding of the club. The delivery of this concept has been fantastic and is another priceless contribution to the excellent service offered by Bristol City’s media department.

Hats off to ’em!

I love these posters for 2 reasons. 1stly, Man City are opting for the creative marketing route, 2ndly they are simply brilliant pieces of design work.

Thanks to creative review for the original article and the designers for their work.

How funny that all players featured (bar the recent Tevez apology) are not at City anymore…
